Job Description

Reporting to the respective line manager, the role holder is responsible to take ownership of end-to-end data, market research, provide periodic reports, advise strategy, and implement special projects.

  • To lead and drive marketing strategies by providing data-driven insights and analytics in the banking sector
  • To gather and analyze market data, competitor trends, and customer behaviors to develop actionable recommendations for the marketing team

Data Collection and Analysis:

    • Gather data on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments through various sources such as market research reports, surveys, and industry publications.
    • Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights from raw data.
  • Competitor Analysis:
    • Monitor and analyze competitors' strategies, products, and market positioning.
    • Assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) for both the organization and its competitors.
  • Industry Research:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
    • Evaluate the potential impact of industry developments on the organization's business.
  • Market Segmentation & Sizing:
    • Identify and analyze different market segments to understand customer needs and preferences.
    • Provide insights on potential target markets and opportunities for business growth.
  • Customer Insights:
    • Gather information on customer behavior, preferences, and satisfaction.
    • Contribute to the development of customer profiles and personas to guide marketing and product development strategies.
  • Strategic Planning Support:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide intelligence that informs strategic planning and decision-making processes.
    • Assist in the development of long-term and short-term business strategies.
  • Forecasting:
    • Use market data and trends to create forecasts for product demand, sales, and other relevant metrics.
    • Provide input for budgeting and resource allocation based on market projections.
  • Report and Presentation:
    • Compile and present market intelligence reports to key stakeholders.
    • Clearly communicate findings, insights, and recommendations in a format that is easily understandable for non-experts.
  • Technology Adoption:
    • Stay abreast of new technologies and tools related to market intelligence and implement them to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Risk Assessment:
    • Evaluate potential risks and threats to the business based on market and competitive intelligence.
    • Provide recommendations for mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Networking:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with industry experts, analysts, and other professionals to stay connected with the latest developments and insights in the field.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Monitor and analyze changes in regulations and compliance requirements that may impact the business.
  • Other tasks are assigned and directed by the CEO.

Job Requirements

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in qualitative & quantitative analytics
  • Proven experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or market research within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods including hypothesis testing, and regression analysis
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using advanced statistical packages for analysing datasets (SPSS, SAS etc.)
  • Experience creating excel models and dashboards
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Degree preferably Economics, Business studies or related matters
  • Working-level proficiency in English and Burmese
  • Very creative, proactive, good team player and highly self-driven
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
