Job Description

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support for identified students.
  • Support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Assist students in accessing classroom activities through appropriate learning strategies and scaffolding.
  • Promote student independence, confidence, communication, and social interaction skills.
  • Work collaboratively with Class Teachers and the Inclusion Coordinator to implement support plans.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions and achievements.
  • Assist in preparing adapted learning resources and classroom accommodations.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and parent consultations as required.
  • Uphold confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Special Educational Needs, or a related field. Relevant training or certification in Inclusive Education or Special Educational Needs is an advantage.
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Experience supporting students with additional educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural school environment is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Myanmar.
  • Competent in using ICT to support teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of learning differences, including Autism, ADHD, and social-emotional developmental needs.
  • Able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
