ROLE PURPOSE

The Product Specialist is responsible for end-to-end management of the Biller platform, including coordination with government offices, internal technology teams, and third-party service providers. The role ensures smooth BAU operations, timely issue resolution, and continuous enhancement of biller products to meet regulatory, business, and customer requirements.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product & Business Management

  1. Own and manage the Biller product roadmap, lifecycle, and performance.
  2. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new biller onboarding and enhancements.
  3. Ensure biller services align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.

Government & External Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the primary contact point for government offices and regulatory bodies regarding biller-related requirements and integrations.
  • Coordinate discussions on business processes, data requirements, compliance, and implementation timelines.
  • Prepare and present proposals, documents, and reports required by government stakeholders.

Internal Coordination (Technology & Operations)

  • Work closely with internal developers, IT, operations, and support teams to manage:
  • BAU (Business-As-Usual) issues
  • Incident tracking and resolution
  • System improvements and new feature enhancements
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for development teams.
  • Participate in UAT, deployment planning, and post-release monitoring.

Third-Party & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with third-party billers, service providers, and vendors for integration, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Manage vendor communications, issue escalation, and SLA compliance.
  • Support contract discussions and performance reviews with third-party partners.

BAU Operations & Issue Management

  • Monitor daily biller operations to ensure service stability and availability.
  • Identify recurring issues and work with stakeholders to implement permanent fixes.
  • Ensure timely communication with internal teams and external partners on outages or service changes.

Reporting & Governance

  • Prepare regular reports on biller performance, transaction volumes, issues, and enhancements.
  • Ensure documentation, SOPs, and product manuals are up to date.
  • Support audit, risk, and compliance reviews related to biller services.

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in BAU operations, incident management, and product enhancements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable

  • Strong understanding of biller systems, payments, or digital financial services
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

 

Education & Special Training

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Engineering, or related fields

Desirable

  • Master’s degree or professional certifications are an advantage

 

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in product management, digital banking, payments, or biller-related services

Desirable

  • Proven experience working with government organizations or regulatory bodies is highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience coordinating with internal development teams and third-party vendors
     

Languages

  • Proficiency in English and Myanmar language (written and spoken)
