Job Purpose

We are looking for a proactive Monitoring Engineer to join our NOC team. You will be responsible for ensuring the health, performance, and availability of our systems. Your primary focus will be on maintaining our monitoring stack, configuring alerts, and using data to help us spot issues before they become outages.

Key Responsibilities

• System Oversight: Monitor the organization environments to ensure 24/7 uptime.
• Alert Management: Configure and fine-tune triggers in open-source monitoring tools to reduce "alert fatigue."
• Deployment: Assist in the installation and configuration of monitoring agents on new servers.
• Automation: Write shell scripts to automate routine checks and data collection.
• Collaboration: Proactively communicate and collaborate across multi-functional teams to ensure monitoring requirements are met and tasks are fulfilled efficiently.

• Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent; Open-minded with a "can-do" attitude. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Linux Server Administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Debian).
• Zabbix Specialist: Hands-on experience with Zabbix (templates, LLD, active/passive agents) is a significant advantage.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Basic understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Open Source monitoring ecosystems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix).
• A strong grasp of the OSI model, specifically TCP/UDP protocols, port mapping, and basic troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, netstat).
• Proficiency in MySQL/MariaDB (writing queries, understanding basic schema, and performance monitoring).
• Knowledge of Shell Scripting (Bash) and proficiency in at least one programming language—preferably Python or PHP.
