Job Description

Overall Project Leadership: Assume total responsibility for the successful delivery of Project Star in Yangon, covering all phases from planning to handover.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the Focus Star MD and the Vantedge PMO, providing regular, detailed English reports on project progress, risks, and financials.
Coordination: Lead daily/weekly coordination meetings with all project stakeholders: international and local consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, EHS officers, and local regulatory bodies (YCDC, FFD, etc.). Ensure all parties are aligned with the master schedule and Vantedge’s PMO standards.
Schedule & Budget Control: Develop and strictly maintain the project master schedule and budget. Identify potential bottlenecks or cost overruns early and implement corrective actions.
EHS & Compliance: Enforce a zero-harm safety culture on site. Ensure all construction activities fully comply with local Myanmar regulations and Vantedge's international EHS standards. Manage all necessary permits and inspections.
Team Leadership: Provide clear direction and mentorship to the site engineers, QA/QC, and admin staff, ensuring they execute their roles effectively.
Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (technical, commercial, regulatory, and safety-related).

Job Requirements

Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical).
Mandatory: Fluency in professional English (spoken and written) is a non-negotiable requirement for reporting to international stakeholders.
Mandatory: Proven experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, EHS teams, and local regulatory authorities in Myanmar.
Advantage: Previous experience working on international projects or for multinational organizations (overseas experience).
Skills: Strong leadership, contract management, financial acumen, and crisis management.
