Quantity Surveyor (2026 YGN JobNATION job fair)

Job Description:

We will be recruiting for this position at the upcoming JObNATION job fair Yangon on 21st -March-2026 at Novotel Hotel Yangon.

Quantity Surveyor is responsible for Preliminary estimating the development project’s cost, budgeting and risk exposure which are related to building construction (Civil & Structure, Architectural and Interior Design).  Plans for Tendering process and conducts evaluation selection of the Contractors, Suppliers and control the project budget throughout the project implementation until the project closing time.

  • Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and risk assessments for development projects within the project timeline.
  • Coordinate and communicate between owner, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
  • Manage tendering and procurement processes, including preparing tender documents, reviewing submissions, and conducting evaluations.
  • Provide cost advice and budget appraisal based on client development plans and expectations.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation solutions in line with contract terms and regulations.
  • Support the project management team with instructions, compensation events, and scope clarification with the design team.
  • Handle contract administration, including payment certification, invoice followup, variation order (VO) review, and cost negotiation with subcontractors.
  • Coordinate material procurement, supplier quotations, and delivery monitoring with the site team.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within a reputable Design Firm, Developer, or Contractor company.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, brands, specifications, and installation methods.
  • Experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender evaluation.
  • Familiar with contract administration and FIDIC contracts.
