Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

Prepare detailed electrical BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for solar projects.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Estimate project costs for Solar PV systems, Inverters, Transformers, Cables & cable trays, Earthing & lightning protection systems, Switchgear & panels and Electrical infrastructure works.
Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting project costs.
Prepare RFQ/RFP documents for vendors and subcontractors.
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Compare technical and commercial proposals.
Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams for material specifications.
Support negotiation of prices and contracts.
Review subcontract agreements and payment terms.
Prepare interim payment certificates and final account settlements.
Verify subcontractor work progress and claims.
Monitor contract variations and change orders.
Maintain project cost records and documentation.
Prepare monthly cost reports and financial progress updates.
Conduct site measurements and verification of completed works.
Ensure quantities and executed work comply with approved drawings and specifications.
Maintain accurate QS documentation and records.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical QS
Experience in solar/renewable energy projects is preferred.
Experience in EPC projects is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Solar PV electrical systems, Electrical installation standards, Quantity surveying principles, and Cost estimation techniques.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, ERP System
Strong negotiation skills and problem-solving skills.
