1. To review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Terms of Reference (TOR) and prepare draft proposals for requests and queries from local and international clients;

2. To attend meetings with (potential) clients as required and provide support to the department Head and Management for project development and research activities;

3. To produce draft and final survey materials and training materials (including questionnaires, discussion guides, training manuals, etc.) and produce or supervise translations in a timely manner;

4. To produce or supervise the translation of focus group discussions, and produce accurate, high quality transcripts and associated materials within agreed schedule;

5. Conduct project briefings, moderate focus group discussions and conduct In-depth Interviews (IDIs) as required and in accordance with MSR and client specifications.

6. Conduct training of data collection teams and monitor data collection progress to ensure that fieldwork procedures (sampling, quality control etc.) are carried out as required and in a timely manner;

7. Act as point of liaison between MSR field teams, data processing and quality control staff and the department Head and Management and provide regular updates on project progress and ensure that project results are achieved and schedules are met;

8. Analyze research results and produce summary, top-line and draft reports and distribute the reports (after Management approval) to the appropriate internal and external recipients within agreed deadlines.

9. To accurately prepare and complete necessary administrative documents within specified timeframes to ensure compliance and efficient management of internal administrative procedures.

1. Suitable degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Psychology, BA/BS, etc. from an accredited university/college;

2. Working knowledge of database and/or statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS, MS Excel, MS Word, ACCESS);

3. Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods;

4. Strong interest in social research with familiarity with social, economic and political situations in Myanmar;

5. Fluency in both English and Myanmar;

6. Willingness to travel within the country.
