Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

  • Identify operational risks and control gaps across branch networks and recommend practical mitigation actions.
  • Maintain and update the company’s Operational Risk Register and track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) on a regular basis.
  • Review branch operations, loan processing, and dormant client accounts to prevent policy violations and operational losses.
  • Work closely with the IT and Credit teams to ensure necessary risk control features are integrated into the CA App and core systems.
  • Prepare routine risk management reports and Power BI dashboards for Senior Management and Board visibility.
  • Follow up on internal/external audit findings and assist in preparing for regulatory inspections.
  • Review operational procedures across departments to ensure alignment with changing regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise the Regional Risk Officers and Assistant Risk Manager, overseeing their field inspection schedules and report quality.
  • Organize and conduct practical risk awareness training for branch managers and operational field staff.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 4–6 years of experience in risk management, preferably in microfinance, banking, or non-bank financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of microfinance business models, delinquency trends, internal controls, and branch operations.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience in risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000 Risk Management Framework).
  • Proven ability to analyze field-level data, detect emerging operational risks, and design practical controls.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage and mentor regional/field risk teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and risk reporting/analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills across diverse stakeholder levels.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Presentation).
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to branch networks and regional offices.
