Responsibilities:

• Sample Handling: Receive, label, and log incoming samples accurately. Ensure proper storage and preservation of samples according to established protocols.
• Sample Preparation: Prepare samples for analysis by following SOPs and protocols. This may include weighing, diluting, mixing, and other sample preparation techniques as required.
• Instrumentation Setup: Assist in setting up laboratory instruments and equipment required for sample processing and analysis. Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on prepared samples to ensure accuracy and consistency. Report any deviations or issues promptly to supervisors.
   
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of sample preparation procedures, including batch records, logbooks, and data sheets. Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times. Handle hazardous materials and chemicals safely, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the laboratory team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in sample preparation procedures. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Prior experience working in a laboratory or research setting preferred.
• Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and protocols precisely.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to laboratory work.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling samples and equipment.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals and biological materials.
