Financial Reporting & General Ledger

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

• Manage daily cash reports, bank reconciliations, and account allocations across all branches/showrooms.

• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and review general ledger entries for accuracy and completeness.

• Lead and manage the month-end and year-end financial closing processes to ensure timely reporting.

Inventory & Cost Accounting (Jewelry/Retail Specific)

• Monitor, record, and reconcile physical inventory (Gold, Diamonds, Gems, and finished jewelry) against system records to prevent discrepancies and loss.

• Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), labor/crafting charges, and gold/gem price fluctuations to ensure accurate product costing and margin analysis.

• Monitor and record department-wise / branch-wise / project-wise income, expenses, credits, and debits.

Taxation, Compliance & Audit

• Prepare tax budgets, forecasts, accruals, and ensure compliance with local tax regulations (Commercial Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax).

• Review and analyze tax accounts, submit timely tax filings, and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities during audit inspections.

• Maintain internal control systems and ensure all transactions strictly adhere to company policies and Myanmar accounting standards.

Team Supervision & Software Management

• Supervise, guide, and review the daily work of Junior Accountants (vouchers, invoice entries, and payment records).

• Utilize and optimize ERP / POS accounting software and maintain accurate financial databases for management reporting.

• Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (B.Com / B.Act) or LCCI Level 3 (Higher Diploma in Accounting). Candidates currently pursuing or having completed ACCA (Knowledge/Skill Level) or CPA will be given preference.

• Professional Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in financial accounting and general ledger management. Prior experience in the jewelry, luxury retail, trading, or manufacturing sector is highly advantageous.

• Inventory & Cost Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of inventory valuation, gold/gem wastage calculation, crafting/labor cost analysis, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) tracking specific to the jewelry industry.

• Financial Reporting & Closing: Hands-on experience in leading month-end and year-end financial closing processes, preparing and analyzing Balance Sheets, Income Statements (P&L), General Ledgers, and Cash Flow Statements.

• Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of local tax regulations (Commercial Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Specific Goods Tax, and Withholding Tax) and Myanmar Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), with experience in liaising with external auditors.

• Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in ERP / POS accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Complex Formulas, Financial Modeling).

• Supervisory & Team Management: Demonstrated ability to mentor, supervise, and review the daily work of Junior Accountants (voucher entries, payment allocations, cash reconciliations).

• Analytical Skills & Professional Integrity: Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a high level of honesty, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
