Job Purpose

The Senior Planning Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end master planning, scheduling, risk management, and operational execution for solar power projects from development through grid interconnection and commercial operation (COD). You will manage complex multi-disciplinary schedules (using Primavera P6 or similar tools), perform delay and risk analyses, and ensure projects are executed on time and within baseline parameters. This senior leadership role requires close coordination with engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and commissioning teams. This position is based in Yangon Office but required frequent travel to Nay Pyi Taw Office and project sites if necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Master Project Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and monitor Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Primavera P6 or MS Project across land acquisition, permitting, EPC execution, and grid connection.
• EPC Oversight & Progress Monitoring: Track contractor progress, key milestones, critical paths, and resource loading. Evaluate vendor progress claims and delay mitigations.
• Risk & Resource Management: Identify critical-path risks, land clearance issues, supply chain disruptions, and grid integration delays; implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Align project activities between engineering, procurement, legal, local regulatory bodies, and site construction teams to meet operational deadlines.
• Reporting & Performance Tracking: Prepare executive-level project dashboards, progress reports (e.g., Super Focus / Planner/ productive reports), and performance metrics for senior management and project stakeholders.
• Stakeholders Relationship (Government & Regulatory Authorities):  Track regulatory approval workflows (e.g., land clearance, environmental permits, MIC/DICA filings, construction permits) to ensure compliance prerequisites do not block site work.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior planners, schedulers, and site control engineers, establishing standardized PMO planning procedures across the organization.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. PMP or PMI-SP certification preferred.
• Experience: 9+ years of project planning and scheduling experience in large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy (utility-scale solar IPP/EPC).
• Technical Skills: Mastery of Primavera P6, MS Project, Earned Value Management (EVM), and quantitative risk analysis tools.
• Competencies: Strong leadership, cross-functional project management, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
• Communication: Exceptional cross-functional leadership, negotiation, and English and Myanmar report-writing skills
• Reporting: Skilled in formal Myanmar administrative writing and government relations communications for MOEE
