PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Need to charge of the strategy definition, KPI trending monitoring, optimization and quality assurance of Transmission (Microwave) & IP Transport (IP & DWDM).


ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Monitor Network performance for specified domains on a regular basis ( Microwave, IP, Fiber and DWDM) with required KPI
• Lead optimization and network audit and identify GAP for fixes
• Continuous monitoring of all Network Elements, Nodes and transmission infrastructure to guarantee adequate capacity
• Vendor Management to enhance network performance and user experience across all specified domains
• Traffic Forecasting of all Transmission & IP Links and Nodes to provide requirements for Expansion and Optimization
• Propose Recommendations (Parameters / Timers, Features, Upgrades, Architectural etc.) for performance improvements in specified domains
• Capable to work with available Optimization Tools e.g.
o Reports (OSS/EMS for Performance Management and statistics calculation)
o Active Probes / Test Protocols (e.g. TWAMP) for L2, L3 testing
o Probes & Packet Captures (from various PS Core & EPC interfaces)
o SoC for Customer Experience KQIs monitoring and analysis
• Provide weekly and monthly performance measurement and analysis reports to improve Network performance.
• Work closely with other domains’ Optimization members (e.g. RAN, Core, customer experience) to identify issues & suggest improvement actions
• Work closely with Planning / Project teams (of specified domains) to ensure rollouts / expansions / upgrades / swaps / trials are well managed and do not adversely affect the network performance.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• University Graduate
• Formal certifications on Transport (IP) side would be an advantage (like Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, CCNP, CCIE, JCNP, JCIE)
• Experience in Network & Service Quality Measurement & reporting
• Strong knowledge of Protocols & Network Architectures especially related to transmission (eg. SDH, MPLS, DWDM, TDM, etc) & Transport domains( eg. IP,MPLS, Ethernet, etc)
• Good knowledge on Transmission & IP Transport Network Audit
• Strong experience on traffic forecast, capacity planning for specified domains
