We are seeking a skilled and proactive Core Systems Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing repairs and new development support for core systems used in distribution and retail operations. Your expertise will ensure the smooth functioning and continuous improvement of critical systems that drive our business processes.

Responsibilities:

- As a Systems Engineer (SE) in our team, you will play a vital role in collaborating with our customer's Product Manager (PdM) and our engineers to deliver successful projects.

- Work closely with the customer's Product Manager and our engineering team members to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines.

- Collaborate effectively to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions that meet customer needs and expectations.

- Participate actively in preliminary meetings scheduled 2 times to discuss project scope, objectives, roles, and responsibilities.

- Contribute insights, ask questions, and provide input to ensure alignment and understanding among team members.

- Maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with the office casual dress code policy.

- Present yourself in a manner that reflects positively on the organization.

Requirements:

- We are looking for a skilled Web Developer who meets the following criteria:

- Demonstrated experience in web development, including front-end and back-end technologies.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. ・Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to understand requirements and provide timely updates.

- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Linux, BASH scripting, PHP, and SQL.

- Strong understanding of server-side scripting, database management, and system administration.

- Ability to translate requirements into basic and detailed designs.

- Experience in creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces based on design principles and best practices.

- Proficiency in reverse engineering to interpret design intent from existing implementations.

- Capability to analyze and optimize existing codebase for performance and functionality improvements.

- Proactive communication and timely response to inquiries, issues, and feedback.

- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet project deadlines.

- Must be fluent in English.

Preferred Requirements:

- Fluency in Japanese is preferred

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in developing web applications in a Linux environment.

- Knowledge of retail industry-related operations, processes, and best practices.

- Familiarity with laws and regulations governing the retail sector, including data protection and consumer rights.

- Hands-on experience in developing E-commerce (EC) websites or platforms.

- Understanding of EC site functionalities, payment gateways, and user experience optimization.
