Supporting Teaching and Learning
● Support pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives set by the class teacher.
● Assistin the delivery of planned learning activities underthe direction ofthe teacher.
● Help pupils to develop independence, confidence, and engagementin learning.
● Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, EAL, orthose requiring targeted academic or pastoral support.
Classroom Support
● Prepare, organise, and maintain classroom resources and learning materials.
● Assist with classroom organisation and the creation of a safe, stimulating learning environment.
● Support behaviour managementin line with the school’s policies and expectations.
● Supervise pupils during lessons,transitions, and where required, during break or lunchtime.
Assessment and Feedback
● Observe and monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
● Contribute to the assessment of pupils’ learning through observation and recording.
● Supportthe implementation ofindividual support plans or intervention programmes.
Pastoral Care and Wellbeing
● Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development.
● Support pupils’ wellbeing and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at alltimes.
● Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Professional Responsibilities
● Work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with teaching staff.
● Attend relevanttraining, meetings, and professional development activities.
● Uphold the school’s ethos, values, and policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality.
