This role will work closely with BOD and key stakeholders to define and implement corporate organizational development (OD) and learning and development (L&D) strategies, plans and policies which are aligned with and facilitate the delivery of the organization’s Strategic Plan. Provide specialist expertise to BOD and Group HR manager in the development of organizational culture, performance management, leadership, employee engagement and all aspects of organizational change and development. Lead and manage a specialist team of OD and learning practitioners in the development and delivery of aligned programs, including the provision of team and individual solutions across the organisation aligned with the Strategic Plan.

  • Play an important role in strategic management and organization development
  • As a senior member of the management team, participate as partner in the company’s strategic planning process. Participate in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Champion the development and implementation of the corporate Organisational Development Strategies, Plans and Policies managing implementation against agreed corporate time frames, budget and reporting against agreed performance measures.
  • Engage with management regarding organizational effectiveness and employee development needs; research and develop or review and recommend use of vendor-based materials or organizational development and system improvement projects; develops and monitors contracts. Works with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to evaluate skill gaps and how to effectively close the gaps. Consults with management regarding organizational effectiveness and employee development needs.
  • Develop facilitation strategies and trains/facilitates in areas such as conflict resolution, team building, skills training, 360 evaluations, individual development training, mentoring, culture consultation, de-escalation, workflow process or organizational changes, project management; performs work group facilitation and mediation, coordinate strategic planning sessions and retreats. Facilitates and influences organizational changes such as quality initiatives and organizational reviews; research new areas and develops proposals to aid top management in exploring and implementing organizational change; coordinate and facilitate strategic planning sessions for BOD and management team.
  • Oversee human resources development and department operation.
  • Regular conduct periodic reviews of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to ensure relevance and appropriateness. Recommend and implement changes when required Communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
  • Establish an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee onboarding or orientation, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfers.
  • Plan, develop and coordinate all organizational wide learning and development programs with a mix of internal and external resources. Provide necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports. Track training effectiveness.
  • Understand the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs. Use results and insights as basis to map out organizational development and learning plan.
  • Participate in the process of organizational planning that evaluates company structure, job design, and personnel forecasting throughout the company.

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development.
  • Management qualification or equivalent experience would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Experience with performance management and talent development processes.
  • Presence and credibility to work with the executive team and senior colleagues across the organization
  • Management experience in a complex delivery environment demonstrating delivery of change and operational planning
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to create excellent working relationships at all levels.
  • Good understanding of organizational development principles and practices.
  • Considerable experience in the design and delivery of organisation wide change management programs through internal communication, employee engagement avenues.
  • Experience of policy development and implementation that reflects both corporate and system wide directives.
  • Strategic thinking, planning and analysis skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to support the management of change
  • Highly organized and able to manage a broad portfolio of activities.
  • Proven, developed specialist knowledge in organizational learning and development gained in an HR & OD function
