We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant (CA) to lead and oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, tax compliance, and proper management of the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the company.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, cash and bank transactions.
• Maintain and review the General Ledger, Journal Entries, and accounting records.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure effective utilization of company funds.
• Perform and review bank and cash reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), including monitoring outstanding balances and follow-ups.
• Monitor inventory-related accounting records and ensure proper reconciliation between stock and financial records.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures, and provide financial analysis to management.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax preparation, reporting, and compliance in accordance with applicable Myanmar tax regulations.
• Establish, maintain, and monitor appropriate internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide the necessary documents and information for audit purposes.
• Lead, supervise, and support the accounting team, including assigning responsibilities and monitoring team performance.
• Review and consolidate financial information received from branches and distribution locations.
• Provide timely financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to management for decision-making.
• Conduct financial and accounting reviews at branch or operational locations when required.
• Be willing and able to travel to Myitkyina to perform accounting and financial management duties when required.
• Perform other finance and accounting-related duties as assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as B.Com (Accounting), B.Act, LCCI Level III, or equivalent are preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or a similar position.
• Previous experience in Trading & Distribution, FMCG, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in managing a Full Set of Accounts.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow management, AR/AP, bank reconciliation, inventory accounting, and month-end closing.
• Good knowledge of Myanmar taxation, accounting regulations, and relevant financial practices.
• Proficient in accounting software and/or ERP systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with different departments.
• Able to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes when required.
• Must be willing and able to travel to Myitkyina for work when required.
