ROLE PURPOSE
This SME Banker will be leading and executing Yoma Bank’s SME banking business Strategy with a view to achieve targeted revenue budgets.
To work towards achieving stakeholder’s business objectives by offering a variety of SME banking services and solutions, including but not limited to transaction banking services, cash management, loans, trade finance and treasury services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Being responsible for managing a decent portfolio size (Loan/Deposit Accounts) as well as expanding new client base through referrals internally (branches, corporate or sales teams) or cold calling.
Providing a complete and comprehensive banking solutions (Deposit Product, Structured Credit Solutions, Trade Financing etc.) by understanding the client’s nature and cash flow condition of the business, and level of risk.
Knowing customers’ needs, wants and expectations in a timely manner
Maintaining an effective calling program to approach existing customers, new prospects, and referral sources.
Providing advisory service for customers to be a successful business, linking them to other business, helping customers to meet with the bank’s credit policy in their financing needs for business expansion.
Educate SME Loan product, updated policy and procedure to other sales teams and branches
Be responsible for processing SME loan applications (Document Collection, Validation, Loan Appraisal- if necessary)
Work closely with branches, Lending support team and risk team to process the SME financing cases.
Maintain a detailed and current understanding of the industry, current market structures, regulatory requirements, and issues to ensure that opportunities are realized, and the risks mitigated.
Serve as a mentor of other less experienced Junior Relationship Managers as they develop the understanding of credit underwriting, whole cycle of loan processe, negotiation, and cross-sell skills/techniques and relationship building with key stakeholders in the banks (Lending support team, Risk and Branches).
Implementing field visits to SME clients.
Lead and organize any events or activities related to the SME Customers on-boarding.
Monitoring Past-Dues Delinquent Loan Report and take any required action, after consulting with Line Manager.
Keeping abreast with Respective Product Owners to get updated product information and to inform the client accordingly.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Finance is preferred
Professional Certifications strongly preferred
At least 3 years’ experience in related field.
Ability to work under pressure, challenges and ad-hocs assignments
Communicate well and make relationships work
Good local relationship with local business communities
Good knowledge of local regulatory environment
Drive Service Excellence
Strong sales and relationship management skills
Good understanding of lending and deposit products
Make informed decisions
Manage change and plan effectively
Manage compliance and risk
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suites (Words, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
Working proficiency in Myanmar and English
