ROLE PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this role is to support the project teams with required data and analysis to help make better business decisions. The successful candidate will turn data into information, providing insights that will enable management to make data-driven business decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mining, gathering and processing of data as well as translating it into compelling graphics and clear narrative

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:
- Understand business and technology requirements and translate them into data requirements.
- Develop, manage and monitor Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes for financial related data.
- Help implement next generation of data warehouse systems.
- Work closely with development, support, DBA and business teams.
- Deliver data acquisition, transformations, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into a variety of data models.
- Work on normalization and performance tuning of analytics processes.
- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to deliver results while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to source data from multiple systems and sources using tools such as SQL scripts

Education & Experiences
Essential
- Completion of tertiary qualifications in a business or related field such as Bachelor of Business, Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics and/or industry
specific qualifications.
- At least three years of experience in data analytics role.
- Strong knowledge and experience with data modeling, database design, complex SQL queries and query optimization is a must.
- Good understanding of statistical analysis. Experience in testing design and measurement.
- Experienced with ETL and/or other Big Data processes.
- Experienced in implementing database security models, performance tuning, replication, fail over, high availability.
- Experienced in developing distributed multi-threaded systems.
- Understanding in key infrastructure components such as databases, SFTP servers, and other parts of the stack.

Desirable
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
