Early Childhood ManagerJob Description Department: Early Childhood Development ProgramReports To : Founder & MDLocation : YangonGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONResponsible for providing instructional leadership, managing and leading the staff and overseeing the facility and budget. Responsible for providing for the overall well being of the preschool students.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITYS1. Provide the instructional leadership – Monitor and support instructional activities, participate in and provide staff development, have knowledge of curriculum and standards, evaluate the instructional practices of early childhood teachers.2. Communication – Communicate the vision of the school to all stakeholders, be an active listener, maintain cooperative professional relationship, provide opportunities for two way communication between school and communication between school and community, and district office and school.3. Manage students – monitor and maintain consistent standard for student behavior, provide activities to involve students in all aspects of early childhood school life, monitor attendance, and maintain guidance, health and food services for the children.4. Provide leadership and management of faculty and staff-recruit, hire, train and evaluate all staff members, develop and lead a School Improvement Team, motivate, and provide a positive work environment.5. Develop master schedule and oversee/ coordinate scheduling processes.6. Oversee facilities- supervise the maintenance of all facilities and equipment, identify and plan for future facilities needs, develop procedures for transportation, building and safety and emergencies.7. Manage budget –prepare, administer, and oversee the building budget.8. Participate in parent communications.9. Coordinate community activities and involvement.10. Monitor licensing and program policy implementation.11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirement listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEGraduate degree (M.B.A.,M.A.,etc ), plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/ procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to question form groups of managers ,clients, customers, and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.CRITICAL THINKING SKILLSAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drew valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.SUPERVISION RECEIVEDUnder administrative direction, setting up own standard of performance. Virtually self-supervising.
