Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

1. Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs and provide continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of all matters.
2. Participate in projects to provide legal review over project-related documents such as bidding documents, and provide analysis about legal risks and recommendations on prevention.
3. Study local laws, regulations and policies and give comprehensive report on legal issues accordingly from time to time.
4. Participate in retention, management and evaluation of all outside counsel.
5. Reviewing and analyzing newly assigned and existing matters in order to provide the appropriate legal representation until the matter is concluded.
6. Reviewing, rechecking, advising and commenting various agreements and corporate legal documents which company will enter into
7. Drafting legal documents such as letters, forms, guidelines, contracts, agreements
8. Participating in and attending meeting with outside business persons, government officials and internal meeting
9. Translating legal documents from Myanmar into English and English into Myanmar
10. Reviewing and commenting corporate policy documents
11. Preparing legal documents for the application of IP and others to the relevant Government Department
12. Engaging outside legal counsels, or lawyers or legal firms regarding corporate business transaction issues
13. Negotiation and settling the dispute between corporate and other businesses including customers
14. Writing and preparing Lawyer Notice Letter to send to the outside parties including announcing legal notice letter against other parties in the public newspaper
15. Action as Board Secretary of the company which so appointed and following up of all board secretary's works

Job Requirements

1. Must be a holder of Higher Grade Pleader or Advocate [lawyer] License
2. Fluent in English language (4 skills)
3. Over 4 years' experience in corporate/ commercial law field
4. Personal & interpersonal skills and litigation experience are preferred, if any
5. Ability to withstand and overcome the stress in work place including work assignment and delegation
6. Ability to find out the solutions in line with legal aspects and business interests in every business transaction
7. Ability to make the applicable decision in legal concerns, and to complete the work assignment and delegation each and every time.
