Experienced PR professional with strong local media contacts across Myanmar in traditional and digital media tasked with creating and maintaining a strong public image through the creation and implementation of a comprehensive PR plan. Taking ownership of the entire PR process in close collaboration with the Head of Department, the PR Manager will act as the main source of contact for media queries and engagement.

Job Description

• Coordinate all public relations activities
• Develop a marketing communications plan
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
• Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
• Organize press events as required
• Manage media inquiries and interview requests
• Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
• Coordinate with PR consultants as needed
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

• BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline
• Proven working experience in public relations required
• Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns
• Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• Event planning experience
• Insurance and/or financial services experience is preferred but not required
• Bilingual Myanmar-English
