ROLE PURPOSEThe Digital Retail Division is responsible for developing and managing Yoma Bank’s mass market retail financial services business. In its early phase, the Division is focusing on developing products and channels to service customers outside of the branch network. The Division operates as a design practice and does elaborate research on what financial products work for customers. The best solution will be brought to development following the agile development process, which requires the services of the Scrum Master to “coach” the team towards delivery of the digital solution. The Scrum Master will work in close collaboration with the Product Owner, Tech team and PMO. The right candidate has a combination of Agile project management experience, technical skills in developing digital products, and leadership capabilities to guide a team.RESPONSIBILITIESThe Scrum Master will keep the development process of our new digital financial products organized, productive, and on track. He/She helps the team to understand all ways of agile software practices and is the facilitator of the practice, while staying open and flexible to opportunities to improve the team’s workflow. The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, helping the team recognize and resolve blockers, protecting the team from external distractions, and helping the organization understand how to structure work in a way that enables an agile workflow. Effective communication between different stakeholders is key to the role.• Facilitate the team and organization with scrum & agile practices and methodologies• Oversee the process and guide the team with help of task management and tool maintenance• Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team• Support Product Owner on release planning and product improvement• Coach the team on removing impediments (eg., cultural barriers, logistic challenges)• Shield the team from external interference and ensure the team is fully functional and productive• Communicate clearly and effectively with other stakeholders on needs and challenges of the team• Help teams learn to keep track of tasks and maintain tools (eg. Gitlab)• Supporting and educating the Product Owner/ Team with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog/Sprint Board.
