JOB PROFILE
Job Title : Zonal Manager
Location : Zonal Office, (frequent visits to the branches in respective zone)
Based in Meikhtila, Mandalay or Based in Yangon
Number of Position : Two
Type of Contract : Open
Reports to : Business Manager
JOB PURPOSE

- Based in Zones ( Yangon or Mandalay), but with frequent visits to all the branches, the incumbent serves as the Zonal Manager, reporting to the Business Manager (BusM)of DAWN.
- The incumbent is responsible for the growth and quality of the business and the management of the regional and branch network.
- As such, the incumbent will lead the implementation of the business plan and be accountable for meeting business targets.
- All regional managers from respective zone will report directly to the Zonal Manager.
- Zonal Manager must collaborate with other departments; Finance& Admin, Talent, IT& MIS, Internal Audit in Zone.

- The Zonal Manager serves as member of the management team of Operations Department and contributes to strategic decisions of the organization.
- In addition to the key responsibilities listed below, the Zonal Manager will complete miscellaneous duties assigned to him/her from time to time by the Business Manager of DAWN.


Responsibilities;

Management of Branches and Regions
• Lead Regions and Branches to have growth and quality of business with specific targets.
• Set the targets of Regions and Branches by assisting of BusMCoach to Regions and Branches to achieve targets setting.
• Monitor and supervise to Regions and Branches to achieve targets with qualitifully.
• Assist BusM to create a strong and effective team in conjunction with HR, recruit, hire, train, coach/mentor, support and motivate Zonal staff.
• In conjunction with BusM and HR set performance targets and incentives for all department managers and staff including Regional Managers, Branch Managers and Loan Officers.
• Assess and monitor to ensure products meet demand, stay competitive and are effectively rolled out with full understanding of staff by the collaboration with Business Manager.
• Maintain a high standard of discipline and teamwork in all branches and take necessary actions to ensure that all staff in Branches are performing according - and even over – expectations.
• Contribute to the development of a performance management system and effectively implement the system to ensure high performance across all staff in Branches in respective Zone.
• Develop annual plans and budgets for the branches and regions and supervise to achieve annual targets.
• Ensure that a strong corporate culture to promote cooperation, efficiency, service quality, and high ethical standards in the delivery of financial services is implemented.
• Lead the teams of Regions and Branches to have disbursement planning and support to achieve to increase outstanding loan portfolio.

Credit Portfolio Management
• Monitor if policies, norms and procedures are accurately applied across all levels based on market changes in Zone; provide an adequate level of control to ensure that the entire loan process is working according to procedures.
• Analyze together with collections team what factors are affecting delinquency rates at the level of the branches and regions and develop recovery strategies.
• Emphasize and give proper guidelines to the branches on day to day problems, together with the Regional Managers.
• Assist BusM, HOO and OM to update Operations Manual twice a year, and to perform periodic updates of Orders, based on the requirements of the business.
• Assist to BusM to send new orders for the processing of changing as necessary.

Training
• Assist to training team to develop training modules and provide training to RM, BM and LO as necessary together with BusM and HOO.
• Train Regional and Branch Managers as necessary.
• Involve discussion at workshop, meeting and trainings for BMs and RMs.

Budget and Planning
• BusM and Operations team to develop annual and monthly targets and monitor to ensure to achieve targeted results.
• Lead to make plan and budget annually, quarterly and monthly together with BusM.
• Supervise Regional and Branch Managers in Zone to have business’s growth of organization based on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Supervise and lead the entire operations teams to have proper plan and emphasize to achieve the set targeted Plans.

Expansion
• Support the team to have proper expansion to regions and branches together with expansion team in Zone.
• Supervise to the RMs to support for the process of new area expansion, new branch opening.
• Involve new product pilot projects in Zone.

Other
• Perform other tasks assigned by line manager.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor Degree is required. Degree in economics, finance, banking, mathematics is a plus.
• At least ten years’ working experience in Microfinance and financial sector.
• At least 5 years’ experience in managing branches/regions.
• Advanced understanding of financial statements and ratio analysis.
• Ability to examine information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically and independently.
• Ability to use internet and other resources to obtain information and disseminate it to relevant stakeholders in the microfinance programme area.
• An understanding of the national issues related to community development and microfinance

• Ability to take initiative.
• Skills in project implementation, monitoring and evaluation and report writing (in both English and Myanmar);
• Good in written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent computer and Microsoft Office (word, excel and PowerPoint) skills
• Commitment to work as a team member at team.
• Ability and willingness to travel when required.
