Viya Health Myanmar is looking for an Account and Admin Officer based in Yangon, Myanmar. The Account and Admin Officer will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions and office administration functions. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounting (Account) Functions: 

  • Handle accounts payable and receivable. 
  • Perform the Voucher Entry for daily cash transactions in the accounting software. 
  • Maintain the proper records of financial transactions. 
  • Prepare/ verify the payment vouchers and official receipts. 
  • Assist in expense tracking and preparing monthly reports. 
  • Perform all banking transactions as required. 

Administration (Admin) Functions: 

  • Handle day-to-day office administrative functions. 
  • Oversee office cleanliness, maintenance, and security matters. 
  • Handle office appliance bills such as phone bill, Internet bill, Meter bill, etc., and daily office operation payments. 
  • Manage the stock of office supplies, stationery, office equipment, and pantry items. 
  • Maintain the record of asset management, staff attendance, and systematic filing of documents. 
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (B.Com is preferred) or any graduate with LCCI-Level 3. 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in related fields and accounting software experience is preferable. 
  • Strong knowledge of local tax laws and applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).

  • Ability to prepare and submit all mandatory tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) to the Internal Revenue Department (IRD), including CIT, CT, and WHT

  • Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, strong teamwork and collaboration abilities. 
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively. 
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, and time management skills. 
  • Close attention to details and accuracy, trustworthy, organized, and able to work independently.
