Job Description

To oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Manage the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
Review all the financial documents (e.g., invoices, debit notes, credit notes, etc.) and control the budget
Review for submission of weekly withholding tax, monthly commercial tax and quarterly income tax filing
Manage the account closing process and review reporting submission for monthly, quarterly and year end reporting to ensure compliance with all accounting, tax statutory, legislative requirements
Prepare financial statements of the Company in accordance with Myanmar Accounting Standards and IFRS, , including consolidation, cash flow, budget and tax reporting
Assist to perform analytics and explain variances on financial results
Review and implement internal control procedures and policies for finance processes
Provide support to internal departments to meet corporate objectives
Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, statutory financial reporting and tax requirements
Liaise with both internal and external parties, including bankers, auditors and officers for compliance matters
Secures financial information by completing data base backups
Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, special projects and presentation if necessary

Job Requirements

Possess a degree in accountancy and/or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., LCCI Level 3)
Minimum 1 year for Assistant accountant position and 2 or 3 years’ relevant experience with at least 1 year in a supervisor level for Accountant position
Meticulous, hands-on, independent, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
Knowledge of Myanmar Accounting Standards and IFRS, costing, taxation and corporate governance
Must be a team player, task oriented, ability to work in a highly dynamic, team environment and work with cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint
SQL Accounting software knowledge is an advantage
