Job Description

Maintain complete, accurate, and timely accounting records in compliance with company policies, local regulatory requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
Perform and monitor day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management.
Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within established timelines and reporting requirements.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding reconciling items.
Verify payment processing and ensure compliance with delegated authority and payment approval requirements.
Support the preparation of management reports, financial analyses, and statutory reports.
Prepare and review accounting journals with appropriate supporting documentation.
Support internal and external audit activities and provide timely responses to audit requests.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including withholding tax, commercial tax, corporate income tax, and other statutory obligations.
Maintain effective internal controls and identify opportunities to strengthen financial governance and process efficiency.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
Experience in a multinational corporation, trading, distribution, or service organization is preferred.
Proven experience in month-end closing, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Practical knowledge of Myanmar tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
Experience using ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. LCCI Level III, ACCA, or other relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
