About the Job: The role of Assistant HR Manager, reporting to Head of Program and Development,  is crucial in managing the various HR functions on a daily basis within the department. These responsibilities includes recruitment procedures, maintaining employee relations, overseeing performance management, handling disciplinary proceedings, and ensuring HR compliance in accordance with industry best practices. To succeed in this position, it is essential to possess strong interpersonal and coordination skills.

 

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Manage the recruitment process from vacancy verification to final candidate selection, coordinating with hiring managers as needed.
  • Collaborate with other department leads and managers to execute the organization's HR strategy, especially forthe hiring plan.
  • Implement and apply all HR policies and procedures in line with the company's values and culture, contributing initiatives to support the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to HR management.
  • Streamline HR administrative functions, including attendance tracking, leave records, and payroll calculations.
  • Maintain up-to-date and organized employee databases and physical documentation.
  • Communicate timely updates to all employees on various company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the HOD in leading the annual performance management process, from setting yearly KPIs to reviewing employee performance and paperwork.
  • Keep up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new HR technologies and employment laws.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • University Degree in any relevant field (prefer with Professional certificate or Diploma in HR Management or Business Management)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as similar managerial roles is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, as well as best practices in human resources management.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Good command of written and verbal communication in English and Myanmar languages are required.
  • Proficient in Google services and Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and quality of work.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing program needs and requirements. 
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally if needed.
  • Knowledge about Sexual Reproductive Health and contraceptives will be an asset.
