- Negotiate transportation rates or services for ad-hoc requirement.
- Design models for use in evaluating logistics programs or services.
- Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
- Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
- Analyse the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, product volumes or mixes, or primary transporter
- Coordinate reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and issuing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Enforcing adherence to government regulation requirements on warehousing, material handling and issuing, and advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Monitor the stock level at depots and warehouses and direct the replenishment plan
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and safety records.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Completes warehouses operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
