Job Summary:

The Brainworks group of schools are seeking a dedicated and caring Primary Associate Teacher Position (local candidates preferred) to join our schools in Thingangyun ,Tharkayta, North Dagon and Kamaryut, Yangon. The job tasks for this position include implementing the primary curriculum, supporting interactive and developmentally appropriate activities, and monitoring children's progress.

Main Duty & Responsibilities

Primary Associate Teachers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include are as follow:

  • Assist in implementing the primary curriculum in collaboration with the homeroom teacher.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to maintain records of each child's development and progress.
  • Actively participate in primary events and contribute to classroom projects.
  • Establish positive communication with children and their parents or guardians.
  • Play an important role in creating a warm and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Attend team meetings and engage in professional development opportunities.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Head of School or leader.

Job Requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have obtained an Early Childhood Care and Development Training certificate from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement.
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills when interacting with children.
  • Must be patient, empathetic, and have a strong desire to support young children's development.
  • Proactivity in job assignments and a willingness to learn are required for this position.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in English for teaching purposes, preferred.
