Job Summary

A Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the construction and fabrication factory, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control. The role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of construction accounting principles, and expertise in managing project costs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and oversee financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow
  2. Maintain accurate accounting records for all transactions related to construction and fabrication projects.
  3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  4. Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring costs align with financial plans.
  5. Analyze job costing, material costs, labor expenses, and overhead to optimize financial efficiency.
  6. Work closely with project managers to track expenses, prevent cost overruns, and ensure profitability.
  7. Oversee vendor payments, subcontractor invoices, and purchase order processing.

Required Qualification: 

  • Education Qualification : B. Com, CPA, M. Com, ACCA Part II or III

Working Experiences

  • 5 Years in Construction

  • Soft Skills : 
    • Communication/ Coordination
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Coaching & developing the subordinates
