Summary

The Chief Accountant oversees the accounting department, ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains internal controls, and ensures compliance with financial regulations and standards. This role supports senior management with financial analysis and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all finance and accounting operations for trading and distribution
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to support business objectives.
• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings promptly.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
• Support senior management with financial planning and strategic decision-making.
• Oversee treasury activities, banking relationships, and working capital management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
• Ensure financial integrity, transparency, and compliance while supporting the organization's long-term growth and success.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or an equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the property management, real estate, or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Sound understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Experience coordinating internal and external audits.
• Proficiency in ERP/Odoo or accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
