We are seeking a creative and organized professional to lead cultural programmes, events, and audience experiences at Turquoise Mountain Myanmar’s Cultural Centre.

The Culture & Events Manager plays an important role in developing engaging programmes that celebrate Myanmar’s culture, promote artisan stories, strengthen TM’s brand visibility, and create meaningful experiences for local and international audiences.

Working closely with the Artisan to Myanmar Market Lead, Communications Officer, Boutique, Café, Programme, and Operations teams, the role will lead the planning and delivery of events, exhibitions, workshops, cultural activities, and venue hire opportunities while supporting organizational and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver cultural programmes, events, exhibitions, workshops, and engagement activities aligned with TM’s mission and brand values.
• Create engaging event concepts that promote Myanmar crafts, artisans, and cultural heritage.
• Lead event planning, coordination, logistics, and delivery to ensure high-quality experiences for visitors, partners, and participants.
• Manage relationships with artists, facilitators, institutions, schools, embassies, NGOs, INGOs, and other partners to expand audience reach and programme opportunities.
• Supervise and support the Event Coordinator to ensure smooth event implementation and documentation.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to manage event budgets, suppliers, venue arrangements, pricing, invoicing, and payments.
• Work closely with the Communications Officer to support event promotion, audience engagement, storytelling, and content development.
• Capture event insights, feedback, and recommendations to support programme improvement and future opportunities.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree holder with experience in event management, cultural programmes, communications, marketing, or related fields.
• Proven experience in planning and delivering events, workshops, exhibitions, or public programmes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging programme ideas and experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse audiences and partners.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Myanmar language skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Interest in Myanmar culture, heritage, crafts, and creative industries is an advantage.
