Title : Electrical Engineer – Distillery Factory

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Electrical Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize all electrical systems and infrastructure within our distillery facility. The role involves ensuring smooth operation of electrical equipment, troubleshooting faults, supporting automation processes, and complying with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial power systems and a strong understanding of food or beverage processing environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, and switchgear.
  • Respond promptly to electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Plan and oversee the installation of new electrical equipment and systems.
  • Upgrade existing electrical systems to improve efficiency and meet growing production demands.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Keep detailed maintenance logs and system documentation.
  • Energy Management:
  • Monitor energy usage and identify areas to improve efficiency.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and technologies.

  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all electrical work meets national and local electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Adhere to workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of capital projects.
  • Provide technical input on equipment procurement and factory expansions.
  • Maintain up-to-date electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
  • Prepare technical reports and updates for management.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment; distillery or beverage experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient with industrial electrical systems (e.g., MCCs, VFDs, transformers).
  • Knowledge of power distribution and energy efficiency systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work in a factory environment and be on call for emergencies.
