Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

  • Oversee end-to-end financial management for the refinery start-up project, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls tailored to the project and local regulatory requirements in Myanmar.
  • Establish, lead, and develop the finance team for the energy cluster, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with project managers, external consultants, auditors, and government authorities to ensure compliance and smooth financial operations.
  • Monitor project costs, expenditures, cash flow, and funding to meet financial targets and project timelines.
  • Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions to secure funding and financial services.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory filings, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Support risk management initiatives and internal audit processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting tools, and processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or ACCA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 5 years in the large-scale energy business as FC.
  • Proven experience in establishing and leading finance teams within the energy or oil & gas sectors, preferably in Myanmar or comparable markets.
  • Strong knowledge of Myanmar’s financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in IFRS, local accounting standards, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a dynamic environment.
