Assistant Vice President (Data Modeller - Finance & MIS Department)
The Data Modeller is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support enterprise applications, reporting platforms, and analytical solutions. The role ensures data structures are scalable, high-performing, consistent, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of data modelling methodologies, database technologies, ETL processes, and modern data architectures (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse).
Key Responsibilities
Data Modelling & Management
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for operational systems, data warehouses, and BI platforms.
- Design normalized, denormalized, and dimensional models (Star/Snowflake schema).
- Define data standards, naming conventions, and metadata structures.
- Collaborate with solution architects and DBAs to implement models in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across systems.
- Document data dictionaries, business rules, lineage, and model diagrams.
- Support data governance, master data management (MDM), and metadata initiatives.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into data structures.
- Partner with ETL/data engineering teams to ensure model alignment with pipelines.
- Assist developers and analysts with query optimization and data-related issues.
