Job Description

About the Job: The Medical Product Specialist, reporting to Medical Sales Manager, will be the frontline representative of DKT Myanmar to the various type of customers, including Health Care Providers (HCPs), clinics and pharmacies, by implementing detailing of all DKT’s products, building good relationships, increasing awareness of the products and achieving sales and coverage targets. This position is mainly responsible to develop all DKT brands in the medical channel by achieving all the defined targets monthly, quarterly & yearly.

 

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure coverage of the assigned area by developing various new outlets, including hospital, clinics and pharmacies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with all level of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, and also with representatives and decision makers of hospitals, clinics and pharmacies, etc.
  • Meet the monthly and yearly sales target in assigned territories and drive the sales growth in different SKUs.
  • Participate in execution of all field promotional activities and be in line with organization’s strategy.
  • Be a specialist in all modern contraceptive methods, especially in all DKT’s contraceptive products to ensure providing the right message in detailing.
  • Ensure the use of detailing and promotional materials effectively in all types of activities with healthcare providers.
  • Work closely with the distributors’ team to ensure actual sales and delivery of the products to customers. 
  • Work together with the rest of nationwide medical sales team members in implementing the monthly detailing, promotional and other activities plans.
  • Ensure timely reporting to Medical Sales Manager in day-to-day activities and also the market information and updates.
  • Ensure all the customer data is recorded, analyzed and find out the sales gap to boost the market coverage.
  • Handle the customer complaints with the positive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by direct supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in B.pharm, BNSc (or) any other medical related disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in pharmaceutical sales (or) medical related fields
  • Self-motivated and result oriented person with strong negotiation & selling skill
  • Strong interpersonal, communications & presentatiion skills is required.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office proficiently
  • Ability to work under pressure & in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Accuracy, Efficiency & Accountability is required.
  • Good command of English in both writing and speaking skills is preferable.
  • Ability to travel nationally if needed.
  • Knowledge of Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Contraception is preferable.
