Job Summary:
The Project Director will oversee the entire project from implementation through completion, ensuring it is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards. This role involves strategic oversight, stakeholder management, and leadership of the project team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution phases of the project, setting timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring collaboration and efficiency across various departments such as engineering, finance, and operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including government entities, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the project's success.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of the project, including budgeting and expense management.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and processes to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.

Job Requirements

Industry Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of the electricity supply and distribution industry, including technological advancements, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
  • Experience with grid modernization initiatives, including the integration of renewable energy sources and implementation of smart grid technologies.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and their implementation in power distribution to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure or utility projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.

Work Environment:
This position typically operates in an office environment but requires occasional visits to project sites as needed. The role requires managing multiple tasks and dealing with a complex stakeholder environment under tight deadlines.
