PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

  • Participate to manage and develop the HEINEKEN Myanmar Packaging Team
  • Ensure execution of safety agenda in Packaging department, while managing the entire process
  • Implement and follow the key performance indicators and strive for continuous improvement
  • Set the strategy and the applicable external and internal legal requirements, according to the company policy, with the aim of reaching the planned quantities and packaging quality.
  • Ensure effective running of the packaging operations, by empowering people on the shop floor
  • Create a working environment where people feel empowered and capable to operate, sustain and improve production processes

 

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Implements, monitors, controls and reports all Safety and Food safety standards, behaviors and procedures
  •  Ensures that these are embedded and applied in the packaging operations and takes appropriate actions/measures to prevent them from happening, for both own and outsourced activities
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance department with regards to quality monitoring results and coordinates in maintaining established standards of quality for all manufactured products
  • Identifies quality risks, defines, implements and evaluates local quality procedures and working instructions, in line with applicable quality regulations and the Company Rules, Standards and Procedures
  • Lead daily operations ensuring safety, quality, volume, and efficiency targets are met
  • Lead the productivity improvement initiatives and support the activities to build team awareness on continuous improvement as well as driving team engagement
  • Provide training, direction, development and mentoring to team to improve skills by building a positive and high-performing culture
  • Build capability of the team for smooth transition and operation of all packaging projects & activities
  • Collaborate and work with engineering to ensure all equipment and machine components in the packaging line are in good operating condition and address the problems encountered with regards to their performance correctly
  • Collaborate and work with Production Planning team to be ensure optimal production scheduling, material availability, and volume alignment by participating in daily and weekly meeting.
  • Collaborate and work with logistics team to be smooth flow of fiished goods and packaging materials such as material site loss reduction, improvement of RPM
  • Analyze and report performance using various data in real production environment to determine possible deviation/variance and propose of appropriate actions
  • Manage and support next level supervision to ensure the operations are complying with local foods, environment and safety laws, regulations and standards
  • Support and involve in medium- and long-term planning of packaging capacity, equipment upgrades, and innovation
  • Prepare for managerial responsibilities by supporting Packaging Manager in strategic initiatives
  • Lead loss reduction, elimination, and improvement initiatives using UPS tools
  • Act as a role model for company values and behaviors

  • Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management

Job Requirements

Education & Other Qualifications & Skills & Behaviors

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Food Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG manufacturing, preferably in packaging operations
  •  Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams
  •  In-depth understanding of safety, quality, and continuous improvement systems (e.g., TPM, Lean, UPS)
  • Project management experience, preferably with capital investment or line implementation
  • Strong collaboration skills across departments (e.g., Planning, Logistics, QA, Engineering)
  •  Analytical thinking with data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • High ability to build and develop teams
  • Fluent in English and proficient in relevant digital tools

Strong preference for experience in:

  • Packaging operations / Quality of Packaging /Packaging trends and technologies / FMCG production management, etc.
  • People management and leadership
  • TPM / Lean / 6 Sigma/SAP, etc.
