WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

The role will be responsible to ensure the Packer machines are operating in excellent condition with set efficiency and speed by conducting regular cleaning and performing troubleshooting & problem solving to machine stoppages and troubleshooting minor breakdowns independently. Deliver finished products in a timely manner to prevent zero out-of-stock with good quality, zero QUIPs, low cigarette reject and low cost.

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving of the machine stoppages alone at production Packer with minimum downtimes.

• Ensure machine is cleaned daily as per cleaning checklist and deep cleaning is carried out upon complete of production order.

• Strictly follow the brand change procedures and ensure zero wrong material usage in terms of GPS and methods.

• Guide and train the lower rank Operators to operate the machine in set efficiency & KPIs.

• Operate machine in high efficiency and deliver finished goods in good quality, low reject and low cost independently to ensure zero out-of-stock.

• Perform regular quality checking procedures provided as per the Quality Department without missing and ensure delivery of zero QUIPs during operation.

• Fulfill yearly set KPIs related to EEHS,  Manufacturing, Production, Engineering and Quality. Examples of the KPIs are - OEE, beetle count, quality rating, reject ratio, technical efficiency and Zero Out of Stock,etc.

• Perform production shut-down procedures and start up procedures by strictly following provided procedures (Check-list).

• Record all the downtimes of the machines inclusive of microdowntimes and register them in the GSCA machinery Downtime Entry with less than 5% of missing micro downtime.

• Record all the waste produced within the shift and of the machines inclusive of microdowntimes and register them in the GSCA machinery Reject Entry accurately.

• Assist in the implementation of EHS related projects/activities related to machine and equipment by ensuring required works are being performed according to JTI standards, specifications and meeting local regulation and requirements.

• Perform in IICI deep cleaning activities, maintenance actitivites and 5S3R activities in the plant.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) 

• Preferably minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in Production with Semi-Auto Machineries as Operator
• Proficiency in Basic English
• Able to work with shift rotation 

• Strong ability to operate Packer machines with set KPIs, IICI (beetle prevention and execution), EEHS, 5S3R and Technical Efficiencies.
