1. Transmission Network Engineering

• Manage, monitor, and maintain DWDM, PTN, Metro, and Long-Haul transmission networks.

• Perform transmission service configuration, interconnection link patching, and network troubleshooting.

• Prepare transmission network designs to support network expansion, capacity upgrades, and new service requirements.

• Coordinate with NOC, Access Network, Field Operations, vendors, and other relevant teams to resolve network incidents.

• Support transmission network deployment, equipment upgrades, testing, and project implementation.

2. Access Network Engineering

• Manage, monitor, and maintain access network infrastructure to ensure stable and reliable connectivity.

• Perform access network planning, design, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Support access network deployment, expansion, service activation, and maintenance activities.

• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and coordinate with Transmission, NOC, Field Operations, and other teams to resolve network faults.

• Monitor network performance and support improvements in network reliability and service quality.

3. General Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely completion of network projects.

• Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, technical documentation, and operational reports.

• Prepare regular network performance, incident, and project progress reports for management.

• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with team members to achieve operational objectives.

• Travel to regional areas when required for network implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant technical qualifications may also be considered.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Transmission Network Engineering or Access Network Engineering within an ISP, telecommunications operator, NOC, or related technical environment.

• Strong understanding of at least one of the following areas:

  • Transmission: DWDM, PTN, Metro and Long-Haul networks, fiber connectivity, service configuration, and transmission troubleshooting.

  • Access: Access network architecture, TCP/IP, VLAN, network monitoring, fiber connectivity, and access network troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of fiber-optic infrastructure and network operations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for technical reporting and documentation.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Google Earth for network design and mapping.

• CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant networking certifications will be an advantage.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

• Willingness to travel to regional areas when required.
