Duties & Responsibilities

Enterprise and Solution Architecture:

• Develop and maintain the bank’s enterprise architecture to support current and future business objectives.
• Design end-to-end solutions for banking applications, including digital, core banking, and payment systems.
• Evaluate and recommend in-house and vendor solutions to meet business requirements.
• Ensure all solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Cloud and On-Premises Solutions:

• Assess and recommend the best-fit architecture for on-premises and cloud deployments based on project needs.
• Design hybrid architectures that leverage the strengths of both environments.
• Ensure alignment with cloud strategies, including cost efficiency, scalability, and security.

Standardization:

• Establish and enforce standards and best practices for development, deployment, and operations.
• Develop reusable architecture components and frameworks to streamline solution delivery.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with Developers, QA teams, Operations, and DevOps to ensure seamless implementation of architectural designs.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure third-party solutions meet the bank’s standards and requirements.

Governance and Compliance:

• Define and maintain architectural governance processes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory and security requirements.
• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to ensure adherence to approved designs.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in banking, cloud computing, and enterprise architecture.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and overall IT efficiency.
• Propose innovative solutions to drive digital transformation and enhance customer experiences.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and guidelines.
• Present architectural plans and roadmaps to senior management and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in IT architecture, including enterprise and solution architecture.
• Proven experience designing solutions for banking or financial services applications.
• Strong understanding of both on-premises and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Expertise in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
• Familiarity with microservices, APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of database technologies, middleware, and integration platforms.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
