Thousands attend Job Nation

Almost  20,000 people seeking new job opportunities attended the event, which is undoubtedly the biggest career and job fair to be held in Myanmar.

More than 65 local and international companies exhibited at Job Nation, looking to fill 3,000 job vacancies in a wide variety of job functions and industries.Held at the Novotel Yangon Max Hotel and organized by JobNet.com.mm, 97% of the audience was aged less than 35 years. Female job seekers slightly out-numbered the men, representing 57%.

There were job opportunities for people at all stages of their career, from entry level through to senior managers.

Mr. Matt De Luca, managing director of JobNet.com.mm, said that the large crowd was attracted not only by the job opportunities but also by the many interesting activities, such as career development workshops, seminars and panel discussions conducted by many industry experts throughout the day.”

The wide range of companies that featured at the job fair included many well-known names, such as international oil and gas exploration company PTTEP, the largest food company in the world Nestle, leading telecommunication brand Ooredoo and famous tobacco company Myanmar Japan Tobacco.

Other companies such as Panellist, Wilmar, Ananda, New Ever Best Trading (Escort Fashion), KEB Hana Microfinance, Future Hub, Colgate Palmolive Myanmar, MESI, Bagan Soft Drink, MBT, Food 2 U, DKSH, CDSG, CB Bank, Mundipharma Myanmar, Wall Street English, SK Herbal, , Success Property, Jotun, UMG, YOMA Bank, Fullerton Myanmar, MEGA, Canal+, Myaint Thukha Nadi Co., Ltd, Grab, J Sat, PT Power Trading, Shop.com.mm and Hong Kong Shining Star Investment Company also exhibited at the job fair.
