With the help of Dr. Aung Tun Thet, Former Economic Advisor to the President of Myanmar and Member of Myanmar Investment Commission, as the head judge of Myanmar Employer Awards 2019, and auditing and verifying partner Deloitte Myanmar, eighteen judges with both local and international backgrounds made their remarks heard last week, 17th October, which will bring us one step closer to the announcement of the winners of Myanmar Employer Awards on 7th December at the prestigious Gala Ball event.
Participants’ applications were thoroughly examined by the panel of esteemed judges. Scoring was graded across six to eight categories depending on the award, and Deloitte Myanmar was present to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the process.
As for the day itself, judges came away impressed with the quality of participating companies. “Far and away the feedback I received the most was how much judges see a marked improvement year over year on the submissions.” Said Matt De Luca of JobNet, who’s company to which helps to power the Myanmar Employer Awards. “Each year, the standard continues to be raised by companies looking to win a coveted Myanmar Employer Award; and every year companies know they have to do a little bit more than last year to continue to be recognized as a best of the best employer in the market.” Judges impartially grade submissions looking for relevancy, significance, and innovation during a full working day at the Novotel Yangon Max, as well as participated in a brainstorming session on how to continue to develop the MEA program in the future.
