About One Acre Fund
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund is a non-profit organization that supplies smallholder farmers with asset-based financing and agriculture training services to reduce hunger and poverty. One Acre Fund currently serves over 400,000 farm families across 7 countries in East Africa and is now starting up in Myanmar. By providing smallholder farmers with a bundle of services provided on credit, our solution helps farmers increase their income by as much as 50% annually. In 2016, One Acre Fund launched a first program in South East Asia. Headquartered in Pyay, our Myanmar program is currently providing fertilizer loans in partnership with Myanmar Awba company, and delivering cultivation training to smallholder farmers in West Bago region. We are also researching other development programs to offer to farmers. We anticipate rapidly scaling up our operations over the next 3 years to reach thousands of farmers across the country. About the Role
One Acre Fund is currently recruiting for a Project Manager in Field Operations to manage our field operations team and report to the Field Operations Lead. This is a senior role which requires experience in management, strategy, and perfect English. We are still a start-up team in Myanmar so we are looking for fellow entrepreneurs who welcome challenges and take initiatives. You will join at a time when we expect to grow our field team considerably to go from 330 farmers served to several thousands.

The primary project in this role is to manage our field operations:
• Design our field operations program: work with the Field Operations Lead to research and build a field structure that can serve thousands of farmers in the next monsoon season. Build the calendar of operations for the upcoming season and decide on the strategic activities.
• Implement the operations: run the field staff meeting every Monday, create necessary the trainings and translations for the week, review KPIs, set goals and work plans for the new week
• Grow the field team: hire and train new field officers, develop staff with regular and specific feedback and comprehensive development plans
• Drive improvements: share the best practices across different sites, and communicate back to the office program improvements ideas, be pro-active with suggestions
• Grow the program: set ambitious goals and set the foundations to transform our pilot program into a scalable operation that will serve hundreds of thousands of farmers within 5 years

Secondary projects in this role may vary depending on program needs, and likely to involve:
• Launch new models: change our model to serve farmers through agro-dealers
• Innovations trials: work with our innovations team to launch new programs and trainings
• Geographic expansion: scout and survey new areas and regions for program expansion

Qualifications
We are seeking exceptional professionals with 3 to 10+ years of work experience, and a demonstrated long-term passion for development and leadership skills. Candidates who fit the following criteria are strongly encouraged to apply:

• At least 3 years of team management experience with proven results in staff development
• At least 3 years of project management experience with track record of high performance
• Strategic thinking skills, capacity to break down challenges into solvable problems
• Fluent in English and Burmese, intermediate level of English is insufficient
• Advanced computer skills such as excel analysis and word typing in English and Burmese
• Self-driven and entrepreneurial mind-set to fit into our start-up team
• Energetic and flexible personality to keep our field team motivated and growing
• A willingness to spend time in the field to supervise the team, driving on a motorcycle
• Humility: we are looking for passionate professionals who combine strong leadership skills with good humour, patience, and a humble approach to service to join family of leaders
• Knowledge about farming and agronomy is welcome but not compulsory
