VCS is looking for the experienced Senior PR Manager to join in the Myanmar based agency specializing in advertising, media, public relations, social media and event management. The company is the part of world’s leading communications agency with a client portfolio comprising a range of international, regional and local clients.

Responsibilities:
The senior manager sits within the corporate practice with mid-term and long-term objectives of assisting the Vice President and Account Director to build and shape the corporate communications practice in Myanmar
This includes providing leadership, strategy and direction for the successful formation of the corporate communications practice
Develop and guide new business strategies for the group
Be an active member of the client and target community; cultivate relationships with influencers, elected officials and other key external business partners; entertain clients appropriately to cement relations and better understand their business and issues
Partner with wider network of corporate communications practitioners to generate business and service integrated accounts
Communicate effectively within the agency to help other colleagues understand the scope and capabilities of the corporate communications practice
Identify and cultivate key relationships within the agency to mutually advance the corporate communications practice and agency’s objectives
Develop and manage budgets and business plans in concert with established corporate fiscal goals, maintaining and monitoring practice and account profitability
Serve as senior agency contact to a group of accounts; lead and direct all program efforts to ensure client satisfaction; bring value-added approach to all issues and project
Work closely with senior agency staff and clients in conceptualizing, writing and implementing creative and forceful corporate communications strategies
Effectively support clients as they deal with difficult or crisis situations
Manage, motivate and develop staff members ensuring a high level of client service and delivery on client, practice and agency objectives
Identify and recruit talent for the group as needed
Serve as a member of the senior management team

Account Management:
Sets and manages client expectations.
Develops and manages projects/programs, including implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, budgets and timelines.
In managing account team ensures that work is delegated to the appropriate experience levels within the team structure.
Independently handles several small accounts or major projects of a large account, directing much of the day-to-day work with assistance from more senior staff as appropriate.
Is the client contact for the full account and ensures that agency points of contact grow
Develops presentations for clients relative to project management/program status.
Ensures that the team(s) is appropriately informed and involved in projects.
Anticipates and leads in the resolution of emerging account problems.
Ensures that team can articulate and apply agency vision, goals, practice areas and capabilities.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or related field.
5+ years of communication/public relations experience is required; prior public relations agency, consulting, or other client-facing experience is required; agency experience is preferred, but not required.
Fluency (written and verbal) in English language.
Superior account management skills including client relations, project management, and organizational skills.
Strong supervisory skills.
Proven ability to work well independently and within a highly collaborative team environment.
Excellent attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and writing skills, as well as past experience developing and executing strategic ideas and programs.
Experience in community engagement, partnership development, and supporting advertising or integrated marketing campaigns desirable.
Demonstrated client relations skills, including working successfully through challenging or complex situations; overcoming obstacles; and positioning oneself as a trusted adviser.
Past experience contributing to the pursuit of new business, including proposal development.
