Job Purpose
To provide electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and service support for rice mill machinery and related electrical systems, ensuring smooth machine operation and minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
A. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
1. Conduct preventive maintenance for electrical systems of rice mill machinery.
2. Troubleshoot electrical faults and machine control problems.
3. Inspect motors, control panels, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, wiring and other electrical components.
4. Identify the root cause of electrical breakdowns and take corrective action.
5. Repair, replace, or adjust defective electrical components as required.
B. Customer Site Maintenance Service
1. Visit customer sites to perform electrical maintenance and breakdown service.
2. Respond to customer service requests and machine breakdowns within the required timeframe.
3. Inspect electrical systems and identify problems accurately.
4. Provide technical explanations and service support to customers.
5. Ensure machines are returned to normal operating condition after service.
C. Rice Mill Machinery Maintenance
1. Perform electrical maintenance for rice mill machinery and related equipment.
2. Check machine control systems, electrical connections and components regularly.
3. Maintain motors, control panels, sensors and other electrical equipment.
4. Coordinate with the Mechanical Service Team when problems involve both electrical and mechanical systems.
D. Breakdown Service
1. Attend urgent electrical breakdowns when required.
2. Diagnose faults and restore machine operation as quickly as possible.
3. Record breakdown causes, repair actions and replaced components.
4. Monitor recurring breakdowns and recommend preventive solutions.
E. Electrical Modification & Improvement
1. Support minor electrical modification and improvement work on existing machinery.
2. Replace or upgrade electrical components when required.
3. Recommend practical solutions to improve machine reliability and reduce recurring breakdowns.
F. Spare Parts & Tools
1. Identify required electrical spare parts for maintenance and repair.
2. Check the suitability of replacement electrical components.
3. Maintain proper use and care of electrical tools and testing equipment.
G. Service Documentation & Reporting
1. Prepare service and maintenance reports after completing customer-site work.
2. Record machine problems, root causes, repair actions, replaced parts and recommendations.
3. Maintain accurate maintenance/service history for customer machines.
4. Report major technical issues to the Electrical Service Manager / Electrical Manager.
