Job Description:

The Assistant IT Manager - Product Data Management is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of product data management systems, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the organisation’s digital infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement, maintain, and enhance IT systems, workflows and processes related to product data.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Oversee the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Product Information Management (PIM) systems, ERP systems, Healthcare Information Systems including EHR, LIMS, RIS/PACS, and other integrated systems and related tools.
  • Data Governance: Ensure product data is accurate, complete, and complies with organisational standards and policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the product, operations, procurement, supply chain, and IT teams to manage data workflows and support operational goals.
  • Process Optimisation: Develop and implement IT-driven workflows to improve data input, validation, and reporting processes.
  • System Integration: Lead efforts to streamline product information management with enterprise platforms, such as Healthcare Information Systems, ERPs, and CRM.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to product data systems and processes.
  • Data Security: Implement and monitor IT protocols to protect sensitive product data.
  • Training and Support: Provide technical guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on using product data systems.
  • Reporting: Generate and present data analytics and system performance reports to management.
  • Compliance: Ensure all systems and processes adhere to data protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards for senior management on product data metrics, performance, and improvement areas.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (medical, pharmaceutical, medical technology, IT, business management).
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in product data management, ERP operations or related roles.
    • Proven track record in managing and optimising product information across platforms (Healthcare Information Systems, ERP systems).
    • Familiarity with product attributes and industry standards
    • Knowledge and experience in product data coding standards (UPC, GTIN, UID, etc) and 1D and 2D coding standards
    • Experience working with HIS/EHR/EMR is a plus
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and improve data processes.
    • Proficiency in spreadsheets, SQL, and other data management tools.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
