ROLE PURPOSE  

The Treasury department is looking for an assistant manager for ALM, who will be reporting to the ALM manager of Treasury to drive the business through treasury money market products and hedging solutions. The team, in coordination with other team members, is expected to assume, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Monitoring Bank’s daily position and exposure for both local and foreign currency. 

• Analyzing the treasury’s investment portfolio and ensuring the investments are aligned with the guidelines of the ALCO. 

• Monitoring the interbank market information and reviewing the published financial statements of other banks.  

• Monitor the banks’ assets and liabilities and implement effective hedging strategies in compliance with the regulatory requirements. 

• Assisting the ALM Manager in implementation of treasury business plan and driving to reach the targeted KPI.  

• Recommendation of policies and procedures to improve the workflow and team’s performance. 

• Testing and implementation of system upgrades. 

• Maintaining excellent relationships with counterparty financial institutions. 

• Developing the rapport and good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Preparing necessary documentation for auditable purposes. 

• Supporting and train subordinates for their professional growth. 

• Taking charge of the department’s administration matters. 

• Other Ad-hoc tasks  

• Minimum 2 years of proven track record and relevant work experiences Treasury environment or financial analysis  

• Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Statistics  

• Understanding of financial products and markets, hedging strategies  

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office, particularly Excel, Power Point and Word 

• Good technical skills, market & product knowledge and capable of responding to change in both the working and market environment. 

• Knowledge on Treasury system (Opics) is a plus 

• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills in both Myanmar and English.
