ROLE PURPOSE  

The Operations Division is responsible for developing and managing Yoma Bank’s operations to create excellent value for the Bank’s customers, internal customers, and employees. The Division delivers values through innovation, specialization, and continuous improvement in automation, standardization, workflow mapping, process, and document management.  

 

In this capacity, the Operations Division requires the services of a Business Process Analyst to align, design, and document business processes and requirements with all stakeholders within the Bank to drive Operation Transformation. The Business Process Analyst will work alongside Product Owners, Product Managers, Process Designers, Workflow Engineers, and UX Designers to translate business requirements into innovative solutions for best-in-class operations and customer value propositions.  

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Engage with internal and external customers for ongoing alignment in process improvement.  

  • Facilitate requirements workshops to engage the various stakeholders to elicit and validate business requirements.  

  • Create detailed user stories based on requirements gathered, clearly defining the user journey, touchpoints with IT systems, and test scenarios.  

  • Develop functional test cases and provide support to end-users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)  

  • Collaborate with colleagues across business and IT to identify the system integration needs, understand the existing process, and suggest improvements that enhance the operation process efficiency.  

  • Assist in developing user manuals, project documentation, and training materials.   

  • Set ambitious and clear end-state process documentation and communicate the new process to key stakeholders.  

  • Develop monitoring, measuring mechanisms, and dashboards for performance/output/efficiency and institute continuous improvements.  

  • Perform other tasks assigned by the management for the success of the strategic initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills 

  • Proactive individual with a solid passion for challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.  
  • Ability to cut through ambiguity to identify core issues.  

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and integrity

  • Comprehensive knowledge of user journey, process mapping, document management, and automation  

  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills  

  • Excellent competency in computer (MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and presentation skills  

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex messages and tell a compelling story. 

  • Good working knowledge of product development practices, business analysis, agile software development/scrum  

  • Willingness and ability to learn relevant skills and tools on the job.  

  • Strong rigor in execution with attention to detail

Education & Special Training 

Essential  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Management, Finance, and/or industry-specific qualification

Experience 

Essential  

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the operational environment of any field (Banking/IT/Finance industry is a plus)

  • Your education and work experience must show that you have the training and professional background for the necessary skills.  

Desirable  

  • Knowledge of data visualization, analytics, and experience with agile development and design thinking methodologies will be an added advantage.

  • Familiar with project management and/or other tracking tools (JIRA/Confluence) 

Languages

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Myanmar
